The new #1 EV is the result of a partnership between Mercedes-Benz AMG and Geely, building on the success of their innovative urban car designs from 1994. It aspires to reshape the compact EV market, much like Smart’s initial Smart City-Coupe did in 1998 when it changed the market for city cars with internal combustion engines.

The Smart #1 EV is available in four different configurations: the Smart #1 Pro+, Smart #1 Premium, performance-oriented Smart #1 BRABUS, and the exclusive Smart #1 Launch Edition. The Launch Edition, limited to 1,000 units throughout Europe, holds a special allure. In the UK pricing starts at £35,950 for the Pro+, £38,950 for the Premium, £43,450 for the BRABUS, and £39,450 for the Launch Edition.

Offering a wide range of colors, the Smart #1 promises a seamless in-car connectivity experience, prioritizing comfort within its sleek and compact four-door design. Equipped with fast-charging capabilities and state-of-the-art electric vehicle technology, the Smart #1 EV boasts an impressive range of up to 273 miles. With DC supercharging (150 kW), the #1 can recharge in under 30 minutes, while AC charging at home (22 kW) achieves a full charge in 3 hours.

The Hello Smart App enables drivers to remotely connect to their #1, providing information on the car’s location, range, battery condition, and nearby charging points. Smart has also partnered with ABB E-mobility to offer installation services for the compact wall-mounted Smart charge home unit.

The Premium variant offers luxurious leather seats, a high-quality Beats audio system, an energy-saving heat pump for thermal comfort, automatic parking assist, and an adjustable head-up display.
